This is why in-home newborn sessions are so special. While Mom was feeding baby girl, Big Sister took her Dad into her room to play.

Bringing home your first child is world-changing. Suddenly you have another little life, one that you have been gifted with caring for, loving, teaching. It is an adventure, an adjustment and, the most wonderful feeling in the world.
Bringing home baby number 2 brings with it a whole new set of wonders. It multiplies the love within your family, it takes your life of three and turns it upside down as you adjust to life as a family of four. There is the sleepless nights, and the joyful exhaustion of chasing a toddler through the day. But there is so. much. love. and joy! There is the delight of watching big sister grow to love her little sister. Of watching her learn how to cherish and take care of someone else. They are a beautiful family. Filled with laughter, energy and pure delight. Their girls are happy-go-lucky and it was a pure pleasure to be able to photograph their family as they awaited the arrival of Baby Girl. And these are the moments I love being able to capture from in-home newborn sessions. Things like this just don't happen in-studio!
This happy little girl... Is this little peanut 1 year later! I love being able to watch babies grow up, change, come into their own person.
Never give up on a dream, Faith in God includes a small way to give back, as the new year begins...
The Olivia Act named after one of the children killed in Newtown, was started by a photographer who wishes to be anonymous. Olivia’s family had family pictures taken a short time before she was killed. Those pictures are precious and now priceless to them. Upon hearing this, this photographer was moved to give away a 30 minute family photo shoot and has challenged other photographers to do the same. We go about our daily lives and sometimes we don’t take the time or have the resources to have family photos taken. I will be taking nominations for a family who you think would appreciate this gift. The session will take place sometime after the New Year and will be completely FREE to the family being nominated. Please inbox or e-mail their name, contact information and a brief summary of why you chose them to [email protected] Please put "THE OLIVIA ACT NOMINATION" in the subject line. Please do not post their information here. I will take nominations until December 31, 2012. The winner will be chosen and contacted early in January 2013. Please share, Thank you. ♥ Fellow Photographers, please consider taking part in The Olivia Act! This family was incredible. Big brother just loves his little brother and was so sweet on him. The absolute best part about having a newborn that isn't even close to sleepy, is the sweet, precious smiles I get from them.
And Mr. Henry was no exception. Little Miss had no desire to sleep. But her eyes are so pretty and the snuggles mom and dad were getting from their little girl make her being awake worth it. So thankful to be able to freeze the first few days of little girl's time at home!
And aren't her smiles the. greatest? I thought so! |
